The Oni

My first project in Illustration is to make my own interpretation of an old Japanese card game. There's an ogre-like creature, the Oni, that appears frequently in Japanese mythology, and it seemed cooler than others. I must have done a dozen sketches before settling with this. I'll see what my professor thinks of him, and then I can get into the final work.
