Repainted Tahu by EricGroff Repainted Tahu by EricGroff
I've never done a paint job this clean and precise, but I think I did a pretty good job! The cool thing about the Toa Mata is that they look like they're made up of several different parts, and it's fun to paint them like that. Tahu is an awesome figure to begin with, I hope I can collect the rest of the Mata soon.

Shame on you for encouraging me to customize my own decade-old Toa Mata.
But honestly, though, you  did an amazing job. You have a great eye for detail.
Did you use a brush, or was he spray painted?

I've done my job, then! I always like seeing what other people come up with. I appreciate it! He's fully hand painted, and though it took a while, I think it'd be much easier than trying to spray paint. Basic acrylics stick pretty well to the plastic.

BTW if you're in the market for Toa Mata it might be worth checking in at sites such as BZPower or Mask of Destiny, which have trading and Buy/Sell forums. Also, you can find then Ebay, if you're willing to shell out $150.00+.

I hope that Gali's mask will be opaque except for the visor. That's what Lego should have done to the mask.

Nice! But I would also recommend that you add some red to the limbs. Otherwise it looks really good.

Thanks! I'll try that out-- he needs touch-ups now anyway.

Oh yeah, I plan on painting all of them when I have the chance.
